On 27 June, the regional event on the LIFE Good Local Adapt project took place in Bilbao, which aimed to share the results of the project in the field of adaptation to climate change, and to know how to guarantee transferability and replicability in other municipalities.
The conference was attended by representatives of the project partners (Aytos, De Legazpi, Balmaseda and Amurrio, Factor, Gaiker, Ekinn, and Createlli), as well as representatives of other local councils (Bilbao, Getxo, Loiu, Mallabia, Ugao-Miraballes ... ) and Ihobe.
Firstly, as a contextualisation, the adaptation framework to climate change in Euskadi was exposed, as well as the framework and evolution of the LIFE Good Local Adapt project in the development of its different actions.
Then, focusing on the actions developed to date, the objectives, development and results of the climate barometer within action C1 were presented, and the results of the citizen participation process carried out within action C2, deepening the measures of adaptation to climate change presented.
Two participatory dynamics were also carried out, with the aim of assessing the degree of knowledge and perception of climate change in the municipalities participating in the day, and prioritizing the impacts of climate change and working on the different adaptation measures presented.
Finally, the municipalities were encouraged to participate in the project through the network included in it, with the objective of accessing at all times the knowledge generated throughout the project, and to be able to replicate these experiences in their own municipalities.
